Dow Gage specializes in the engineering, design and manufacture of a line of Dow-Gages, used on the shop floor, for in-process and post-process inspection of precision-machined parts.

The Dow-System of Simplified Dimensional Control features two standard comparator bases. A bench model ( Model 10 Dow-Gage) and a hand held unit (Tacomp Stub) provide an established method of accurately comparing dimensions of almost any part feature to "mean zero".

Our experienced engineering department, working from the customer's part drawing, will provide a design for a customized Dow-Gage to suit the particular application. Our skilled gagemakers insure that the final product is of the highest quality and that each Dow-Gage makes accurate, repeatable and reproducible measurements.

Dow-Gages are available with either mechanical or electronic indicators. The customer can interface the electronic indicators to most computers and data collection devices for SPC hard copy and analysis.

Standard "off the shelf" components are also available for customers wishing to build a finished Dow-Gage in their own shop or toolroom. Our selection of various stage blanks, flush pin blanks and gage pins offer an inexpensive option for a wide variety of gaging requirements.

Dimensional characteristics such as depths, lengths, angle of taper (both male & female), position of taper, position of shoulders, slots and grooves and chamfer diameter are ideal for checking with Dow-Gages.
